Lisa Rav Kossuth
No, you're not witnessing a "typo" this drummer, singer, song writer is Lisa Rav, very female and very serious. When you see Lisa perform live, you'll probably find it hard to believe she's a self taught player. But hey, she has some good genes: no, not Levi's, her Dad. He is a drummer & her Mom is a singer. Add to that the fact she excelled thru drum and vocal lessons, sure doesn't hurt either!
Lisa's past accomplishments include drumming for Lotus (an original and cover band) and creating the band Orfan Anny, which she did her share of vocals in, as well as drumming. This band played all original music & released three independent albums and created the soundtrack for a locally televised movie.

After retiring from Orfan Anny, Lisa dedicated a whole year to auditioning musicians in hopes to find that perfect fit for her latest project, Gunner. This she feels was accomplished, and when they started jamming together, it was evident that they would have the ability to fill the niche that was missing from the music scene today. Gunner eventually made strong impressions that grabbed the attention of many fans as well as their peers in the area.

As time rolled on, Lisa's goals and expectations began to far succeed what the guys in the band wanted to do. She felt the best move for her career would be to resign from the band, therefore, leaving herself open for opportunity, while focusing her energies toward trying to obtain her true goal of making the most happen with the talent she has. "Working with the right band on a national level, and being able to make a living off of doing what I enjoy most, would make me very happy", the aggressive drummer says.

Lisa completed a 46 city U.S. tour with GM, a band based out of Atlanta GA in 2004 & thereafter toured the Tri-state area with a NYC band called “The Grand Skeem.” Lisa became a member of a National band out of LA called “American Anthem”, who’s musicians not only backed up Bret Michaels during his solo tour, but also opened up the show for Bret during his 2005/2006 tour.
In late 2006, Lisa joined forces with “NAKED BEGGARS", based out of Nashville TN, featuring Jeff LaBar and Eric Brittingham of the band Cinderella. They immediately clicked, & shortly after began touring together. Lisa’s song writing abilities were soon acknowledged as the band began writing & recording together. In Jan 2008 they put out their 3rd CD entitled “XXX”, releasing their first single, a song written by Lisa, called “I can’t breathe”.

Lisa lives for playing! Check out the passion when she performs. Growing up listening to, and being inspired by such super talents as John Bonham, Tommy Aldridge, Jeff Porcaro, Tommy Lee, Steve Smith, her most heroic drummer Kenny Aronoff, have given her a diverse musical menu. Lisa had already taken her natural born talent to its peak and found the late great Angelo Stella as the perfect local mentor to extend her abilities. Lisa credits Angelo with being totally instrumental (no pun intended) in her quest for a higher musical ability. Angelo's son, Billy Stella, now continues the drum school tradition.

With such luminaries to follow, Lisa's tempo, perfect foundation and awesome stage presence more than often leaves 'em beggin' for more! A solid force behind the whole picture, Lisa is that "Ace in the Hole" member that most bands only dream of. Put aside any cynicism or chauvinistic views. This hard hitting, sticks spinning, not afraid of sweating lady, can rock with the best of them. Becha' can't keep your eyes off her.
