California's Great America will open "Rock
Band LIVE! Jam Session" from May 29th through July 23rd, 2010. The Show
will operate 6 days a week and have 4 shows per day. This a
one-of-a-kind production created at CA Great America and will feature
DGC/Interscope Records rock band Street Drum Corps presents BANG! host,
Justin Imamura.
Host of "Rock Band LIVE! Jam Session,"
Justin Imamura states, "This is a show that will showcase park guests
and make them the stars. They have a chance to compete against other
guests and actually win some prizes. There are no shows like this in any
theme park and puts Great America on the map. I'm totally excited and
humbled to be apart of this first-ever show!"
Park guests are encouraged to sign up 15
minutes prior to the show. They can create a 3 person "band" that will
perform on stage with full production. They get to pick any song on the
track listing and rank up points to win via the "Rock Band" video game.
Justin Imamura explains, “Anybody from ages 3 to 103 can come on stage
and rock out. You don't have to know how to play drums or guitar or
sing. All you have to have is enough courage to jam with us onstage.
Once you hear Street Drum Corps' 'Knock me Out' pumping through the
speakers, it's time to rock!"
Imamura just finished a nationwide tour
with Street Drum Corps and 30 Seconds to Mars on the "Into the Wild
Tour." He went straight into rehearsals for this production and looks
forward to the show. He has also performed on Nickelodeon's "Slime Time
LIVE!" and also is the front-man of Street Drum Corps presents BANG!
The show will host an audience of over
300 people per performance and the park sees an overall attendance of
over one-million annually. The Park opens 7 days a week starting May
29th through August 23rd, 2010.
