I love my Ahead drumsticks. They're durable.
I play 2 times a week live, and practice up to 4 days a week for 2-4
hours per practice, and can easily shred new wooden sticks in a matter
of hours. They're consistent. They have the same sound and feel as the
last pair I lost, or gave to a fan. They're amazing at staying in my
hands! All drummers sweat. Sometimes you lose a stick during a song.
I've been known to toss a few sticks during shows (ask my bassist, he
tends to be the target of quite a few drumsticks that happen to get
away) and with the Ahead grip tape, my sticks STAY PUT! I also find that
I hold the stick not as tight, which let's me play more relaxed, and for
a longer period of time, since my hands aren't tiring out. Overall,
Ahead sticks are a thing of beauty. They are the "dream home" of the
drumstick world. They have everything you could of ever asked for in a

I’m a senior in high school and I’m
interested to going to college for either music performance for the
drums or music business. I take drum and guitar lessons every single
week and I really enjoy them. In school I sing in a few choirs and I
play drums in the Concert Band and I'm also in our high school's
marching band where I play the lead snare enthusiastically. I would like
for you guys to know that during both my lessons, when I play on my set
at home and while at school I only use ahead drumsticks. I love to use
them over wooden drumsticks because they sound better and are much more
comfortable to me as well as last longer than the average drumstick.

I have played drums for over 21 years and have almost always used Vic
Firth brand drumsticks. I have calculated that I broke around 427 pairs
in that time. These drumsticks started at $5.50 a pair and have now gone
up to $8.00 a pair. So I have spent around $2607.00 on drumsticks. My
new brand of drumsticks will be the AHEAD brand. These sticks are a very
fair price a pair and they can last about a year. I had played AHEAD
sticks before and stopped. I was using the 5a model and it eventually
didnt hold up to what I was playing so I stopped playing them. My
guitarist referred me back to AHEAD sticks as a holiday present. This
was the ROCK model I played these for awhile and they still were not
giving me the reach I needed. Your most recent Model the Metal Fusion 2B
is the most incredible, effortless, durable, balanced, and confident
stick I have every used. I no longer have to worry about if I might
break a stick during a performance. I am no longer covered in wood
shavings after I play. The benefits dont stop there. I am saving a ton
of money, I am getting more out of my drums with volume, consistency and
life. The sticks are better on the cymbals and drums. I really didnt
think these sticks were going to perform well in the studio but they
actually made the recording sound better. All of the consistent hits,
and the way the sticks make the cymbals sound really sealed the deal for

Hey guys, I just received my new 5bs through
warranty, and just wanted to note your guys' great customer service,
I've been using ahead for about 3 years now, and I've owned about 9
pairs, while I was waiting for my warranty sticks to come in I played
Promarks and then jammed with my Aheads when they came in today and it
was like laying down in your bed after being up for 48 hours!!! quote me

I have been using the ahead sticks since I
got my first set almost 10 years ago. they are a choice piece of
equipment to have in your bag. They last so much longer than any wooden
stick I have ever used. I have 4 pairs in my bag. 2 sets of the maxiums
a Lars Ulrich signature and a Peter Criss signature set. I must say I
finally lost one set. I have snapped one of my Lars Ulrich sticks in the
middle. Broke my first stick after 10 years. Think my investment was a
good one. Great product.

I would like to thank you for providing such
a great product!!!! I have used the 5B Rock sticks for the last 5yrs and
have not looked back since...I practice four times a week for 4hrs a day
and play two shows a month (hard rock) and have only broken three sticks
in 5yrs. I even turned them on to a few friends I have and now they are

I think Ahead drumsticks are the
absolute best things
I've ever hit my drums with. Before I knew about Aheads my joints were
so sore all the time from using wooden sticks and getting all that
vibration back, I use Aheads now and there is no-more pain...so it goes
without saying I commend Aheads and the technology behind them!

Dear Ahead Drumsticks:
I have been a drummer for 5 years and I have always played hard, Very
hard, I would usually go through a pair of drumsticks in a week. I was
switching between sizes and brands to try and find something that
wouldn't break. This method gets very expensive when buying sticks that
range from $5 to $15, Finally, I walked into my local music store and
asked for a stick that wouldn't break. The salesman behind the counter
said that finding a pair of sticks that break was the equivalent of
finding the Holy Grail, He suggested Ahead Drumsticks, At first I was a
little thrown back that they were $30, but then 1realized that I had
already spent way more than that drumsticks, I brought them home and put
them to the test. I had found the Holy Grail and it was only $30! I have
been using the same pair of Ahead Drumsticks for a year and I have only
had to replace the sleeves twice. I take these sticks with me whenever I
play out and the people that I let use them are shocked by their
performance. These sticks are so light and smooth, it amazes me every
time I use them. By far, Ahead Drumsticks are the best investment that I

I purchased an Ahead 14" Brass snare w/trick
throw and case when they first came out. Saw it in Modern Drummer and
ordered sight/sound unknown. First one in Albuquerque New Mexico, I was
told. It was love at first sight/sound! I am obsessive about snares and
currently own 63 so it is kind of hard to impress me, but this drum is
great and at an excellent price point. Yesterday we played at an outside
gig with a professional sound system. The owners of the system were
blown away by this snare. After doing this for years they said this was
the BEST snare sound they ever heard. After the gig they wrote down the
information to check one out. They provide the drum set, but I always
bring my own snare. The following Sunday, I used this snare for a Church
Service at a very small church; very low volume and it sounded wonderful
in that setting as well. Congratulations on producing this beautiful,
great sounding drum at such a reasonable price.

I've been playing for 16 years, I love Ahead
drumsticks and I feel very confident going on stage knowing that I have
the comfort as well as the knowledge, of not breaking a stick in the
middle of a song which is one of the worse situations in the past I have

Your sticks are awesome. I recently suffered
from carpal tunnel and have permanently switched from wood sticks to
Ahead sticks due to fact that wood sticks do not absorb any vibration
while playing the kit while the Ahead do absorb the vibrations.

Ahead sticks are simply the best sticks
out there. Before the switch my sticks where Vic Firth's Metal and Rock
models. As a metal drummer I'd go through sticks in a matter of songs.
Either broken or such a loss of wood they lost their balance, tone and
feel. Ahead sleeves last about as long as wood sticks did, but most
importantly Ahead sticks never loose their balance, feel, or tone.
Further more with Ahead I don't feel the fatigue in my wrists and find I
have better grip and have less sticks flying through the air. I cannot
say enough positive things about Ahead Sticks, so save a tree and buy
Ahead!

For the Longest(18yrs) time I used a
another brand of sticks, then I went to my local music store to buy more
sticks? Thank god they were out of that brand!!! So I bought a pair of
AHEAD stick 5b rock!! Lets just say it was the Best pair of sticks I've
played? I will NEVER go back to WOOD sticks Again!! Playing AHEAD
Sticks.. l can play for hours an hours NOW ..My hands Don't hurt
anymore.. NOW I wont use another BRAND of sticks ! l also use grip tape
and gloves!! My local music store cant keep enough tape and sticks in
stock!!! They love it when I walk in!!!

There is only one thing I can say about
these drum sticks. OH MY GOD!!! these drumsticks are as I referred to
when I first used them "these sticks are the Ninjas of all drumsticks".
I remember reading the awesome comments before I bought my sticks, and
every one of them is true. Great sound, great feel and vary little shock
on your hands. plus replaceable parts. I highly recommend these sticks

Too many people write and complain about
things in life so let me just assure you that this is not a complaint,
far from it to be exact. I have just purchased the new Ahead Snare Drum
and may I say that this is the best (without exception) snare drum that
I have ever played or been lucky enough to own. The Snare is absolutely
fantastic in every way and again trust Ahead to come up with the goods.
I have used Ahead sticks ever since I can remember and when I was ready
for purchasing my last Snare Drum I looked and tried everything from
Tama Star classic through to DW and let me say "Nothing even comes
close." The crack from this drum is awesome and even makes playing the
snare even easier due to the rebound on the drum and the rim shots are

Hey guys just wanted to say that i love those ahead drumsticks.
I have been using them for just about 7 years now and i have only broken
4 sticks EVER! Being a metallica fan and seeing the sticks and hearing
what lars had said about them and also seeing that tommy lee took a
liking, i thought i would give them a whirl. They are everything they
are meant to be and more. From the stick tape to the sticks. lol but
anywayz i found one sticks worthy of it and i wrapped a stick just to
test it out and aside from learning how to get it on the stick and keep
it there, the stuff is awesome!! You guys are doing an awesome job with
them. All the other drummers can waste money buying wood sticks. I will
invest my money and use ahead sticks. Period.

Ahead drumsticks ROCK!!!!! I used to play with wood pro mark sticks and
I kept breaking a pair every 5 days and now, I bought a pair of 5B and a
Tommy Lee Silver Series drumsticks and I have better results than wood
sticks. I am never going back to wood sticks again because compared to

I just wanted to let you know about how i feel about your products.
firstly, i bought a pair of you joey jordison model sticks, and from the
first time i played them, i was hooked.after playing those for about a
year, i decided to try a new model, so i went with the matt mcdonough
model sticks. these sticks are just as amazing as the joey pair, and i
switch back and forth regularly between pairs when i play(the ball tips
on matt's pair provide excellent cymbal clarity). when i purchased the
matt mcdonough pair, i also purchased a pair of your drummers gloves
which i found to be an excellent product. the way they grip the stick is
awesome. i will recommend your products to every drummer i know, and i
will buy your products and support your company.
