In 1992, the Tweek Drum Tuning Key-clip won the GOOD DESIGN Award from the Chicago Athenaeum, Museum of Architecture and Design. Slug Percussion Products officially started in March of 1995, with the introduction of a second product, the Power Head Bass Drum Beater. The Power Head Beater became the catalyst for a new line of products, the Batter Badge Drumhead Impact Pads. Slug also makes felt products, including the Muffelt line of natural wool dampening strips.

BEATERS

Slug Beaters’ balance-tapered shaft patented design improves playing feel and power, guaranteed bend proof. Dual sided head provides two bass drum sounds and two playing feels. Head can be rotated by hand without loosening shaft from foot pedal. The self-adjusting head maximizes contact and adjusts to pedal shifting.
