Nija Walker
Nija Walker (son of the late Sun Ra’s
Arkestra drummer Eric “Samurai Celestial” Walker) is only 22 years old
and has been playing drums since the age of 3. In high school, Nija’s
instrument of choice was the Trombone. After mastering the Trombone (and
other instruments), he set his goal out for something much bigger. He
was intrigued by the drums, so he set his mind out to master them. Now,
Nija is an American Death Metal Drummer who is regarded as one of the
most voracious, intense performers of his time. He is currently writing,
composing, and playing for Rise Records’ Recording Act “A Different
Breed Of Killer”. Nija was a founding member of the Knoxville, TN Metal
Act “Psychotic Behavior”, which included Phil Bozeman and Ben Savage of
Metal Blade Records’ Recording Act “Whitechapel”, in addition to a brief
stint in Raleigh, NC band “Cloacal Kiss”. He has participated in
numerous drummer events and contests.
